Great photos and discovery :) I think it is a slime mould (although believe me I am no expert of fungi!!!!). Think it may be Tubulifera arachnoidea. Plasmodium stage comprises orange . rather granular looking masses, superficially resembling fish roe. Found on dead wood and woodland litter.
